Description:
This is a classic vintage sleeveless gold wiggle dress from 1950 featuring a cross-over bust with large wrapped button at center bust and darting around bust and waist for form fit and zips up in back. Material sturdy satin maybe with acetate lining. Unsure, not listed. Made by Sandi Monica California. Size large, but see measurements for exact fit.
This dress is a very old antique dress and it is still in rather good condition, but there are two areas that need to be tacked back together. 1. Underneath the left armpit the stitching has come undone about 1 3/4" and can be stitched together very easily; 2. In the back at the top of the zipper the material has come unstitched from the zipper and can very easily be stitched back to the zipper as the zipper is not embedded between a fold and can simply be laid back on top of the zipper material and stitched down; 3. On the bottom left of the skirt there are pale pink stains in 4 areas, and should be cleaned by a professional. I am unsure as to the origin of the stains, or whether they will come out or not. You can enlarge the small photo to see for yourself. The price is non-negotiable, already reduced.
